June 8th - World Ocean Day
At Castaway & Company we honor Mother Ocean by incorporating World Ocean Day as one of our annual corporate holidays. This important day is held to raise awareness of the ocean's importance to life on Earth and to promote its protection and sustainability We head to Topsail Beach, NC for our Annual Beach Clean-Up Day.
June 8-16th - National Sea Turle Week
World Ocean Day kicks off Sea Turtle Week. Six of the seven sea turtle species can be found in the United States and all of them are considered either threatened or endangered.
June 16th - National Sea Turtle Day
World Sea Turtle Day, June 16th, is a day used to honor and highlight the importance of sea turtles. We use this time to also visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in Surf City, NC, one of our charities we support.
